The OK2 server has been in the IPTV Market for a few years now and it’s still seems to be doing quite well despite it’s ups and downs.

POSITIVES:

This server has a wide range of channels including many local Canadian and American channels as well as international like European and South Asian channels. The server doesn’t seem to have many downtime issues and the EPG guide is quite reliable but still not perfect. The video on demand section does get updated daily with latest popular movies and shows which is nice.

This server allows two types of installations, either setup OK2 through MAC activation via STB emulator or you have a choice to purchase OK3 M3U URL. With IPTV M3U you’re not limited to a set number of devices, you can use 2-3-4 or even 5 devices off the one account as long as only one account is live.

NEGATIVES:

There’s really no one to contact for support, if there’s an issue with a specific channel you can contact OK2 provider but don’t be mistaken they can’t directly do anything since they do not host the server. Granted this is not limited to just OK2 as this is the case for pretty much all IPTV services.

If you choose OK2 MAC activation you’re restricted to only using the original MAC you installed. If you somewhere in the middle of your subscription need to change the MAC because you purchased a new android box because old one broke then you risk getting the STB blocked message. In order to change to new device you’ll need to message your provider first and see if they’ll be able to update the new MAC on their end so you can use the new device. This can be a headache especially if your provider is unresponsive.

Conclusion:

One thing to note, there’s no one definitive best IPTV server. We can’t say with confidence that you’ll love it. Some try OK2 and swear by it and others say it’s not for them. Again, if you do wish to purchase OK2, start with one month, there’s low risk and no commitment and you can correctly gauge if it’s for you.
